Customer Service Representative
The APS of Durham is looking for both a
full-time and part-time customer service representative. Applicant must work
well with the public and have excellent communication skills. Ability to
multi-task, work a multi-line phone, and use a computer is necessary.
Responsibilities include educating the public, screening applications,
answering phones, data entry, processing animals and other areas as needed.

Adoption Counselor
The APS of Durham is looking for a full-time
adoption counselor. Counselor must have experience working with animals and
a familiarity with training using positive reinforcement. Responsibilities
include assisting front staff and customer service personnel with daily
activities with an emphasis on educating the public on animal behavior and
care and discussing specific animals currently at the shelter. Other
responsibilities include screening applications, answering phones, data
entry, processing animals, and other areas as needed. Ability to work
independently as well as part of a team is a necessity. Saturdays are
