  • ABBY – Adopted March 2009

abbyandremote.jpgWe adopted our sweet Abby (shelter name, Blondie) in March of this year.  Since day one, she has brought nothing but pure joy into our lives.  Being that she is only a puppy, we were expecting to have to clean up many messes and throw away destroyed, chewed up items!  To our surprise, she was house-broken in about 2 weeks and does not chew on things that are not hers.  She is so very smart.

My son has Lego guys/toys that he plays with and knows that he is not supposed to leave out where she can get them.  One day, while sitting on the couch, Abby came to me with something in her mouth.  I said, “What do you have?” and she dropped the hat of his Lego Indiana Jones guy.  When I took it from her and told her no, she proceeded to walk back behind the couch again only to come back around with something else in her mouth.  Instead of me having to ask, she simply put her head in my lap, opened up her mouth and dropped Indiana Jones in my lap.  Almost as if to say, “Well, if I can’t have his hat, I don’t want him either!”

She is such a blessing!  Thank you for saving her and allowing us to give her a forever home!
