Read about the Walk for the Animals!!
The 10th annual APS Walk for Animals will take place Saturday, May 22nd at Duke University’s East Campus. Registration, activities and free breakfast will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by the walk at 11:00 a.m. We are very excited about the fun lineup of demonstrations, contests, children’s projects, rescue group booths, and a raffle. Around 1,000 people, along with 500 of their pooches, are expected to take part in the 1.5-mile walk around Duke.
Find out more about the Walk from Baxter, 2010 Spokesdog. He is excited about the work of APS and is taking his responsibilities as a APS ambassador very seriously! Click his picture above to find out what is on his mind!

INDIVIDUAL WALKER: Our goal for each individual walker is to raise at least $150 in pledges, which will directly help our community’s animals. Ask your friends, family, co-workers and neighbors to support you in reaching this goal for a very important cause. Come and participate in 1.5 mile Walk and bring your pet if you would like a partner.
TEAM WALKER: Walking with family, co-workers, friends and classmates makes the Walk more fun and helps raise more money for APS. Recruit three or more of your friends to form a team and set a goal of $1,000 to help the animals!
YOUTH TEAMS: Grab your friends or get your school involved and make a difference. Teams must be made up of at least four members and the top fundraisers will receive medals.
VETS IN ACTION (VIA) WALKERS: APS partners with local veterinary offices to help them support the walk.
