APS Donors Meet $50,000 Year-End Reppy Challenge

We did it! The dedicated supporters of the Animal Protection Society have met the $50,000 year end challenge made this fall by animal lovers Bill Reppy and Juli Tenney.

Bill Reppy and Juli Tenney share the APS’ vision of a bright future for the homeless and neglected animals in the community; a future without hunger or suffering, a future where no adoptable animal will ever be euthanized because they didn’t find their forever home in time. “The APS staff at the shelter is doing a great job, ”said Bill Reppy. “The staff and the animals deserve our support.”

This September Bill and Juli challenged the community to support the APS annual fund by matching annual fund gifts made between September 1st and December 25th up to $50,000. Gifts from current annual donors were matched 1:1 and gifts from new and renewing donors were matched 2:1.

Thanks to the inspiring generosity of Bill & Julie and the overwhelming response of our dedicated donors, we are closer to realizing our shared vision of a more compassionate Durham. Funds raised during the challenge will allow APS to continue our work caring and advocating for the homeless and neglected animals of our community.
