BRIANNA

BRIANNA is a lovely Pointer/Basset mix who’s 4-5 years old. She’s an affectionate, gentle, low-key girl who’s very interested in food treats, so she should be fun and easy to train.
Brianna will be a wonderful family pet.
Brianna has been lucky enough to find a foster home with one of our wonderful volunteers – here’s what her foster mom has to say:
Brianna is such an easy and adaptable dog that it took no time at all for us to feel that she has been a long-time member of our household.   Although it seems that she has probably never had a canine or feline companion, she is relishing the company of our 11-year-old dog, Chloe, as well as friendly interaction with
the 11 cats.
One of her many endearing traits is the little “happy dance,” (a sudden run, return, and waggle of her rear end) which she performs several times a day when she is especially excited about an impending favorite activity (the sight of her leash really sets this off).
Most of the time, she is perfectly content to snooze at our feet, and since she shadows our every move in the house, we never have to wonder where she is.    We do use the crate at night and she is very cooperative about staying in there, but we have left her (along with Chloe and the cats) free in the kitchen while we were out for several hours during the day with no problem.
She’s very affectionate and appreciative of attention and you just can’t help but want to hug and pet her as much as possible.   I love coming home from an outing (or even just from another room where I have been for only a few minutes) and finding her on the other side of the door, eagerly awaiting my return with her joyful greeting.
Brianna’s exceptionally appealing personality as well as her good manners (she is totally house-trained) will make some lucky adopter think they have won the lottery  :-)
