DAMIAN is a black cat with a big, solid body and a big, warm heart to match. He’s a talkative extrovert who enjoys socializing. Frequently you’ll see him sitting by his cage door, poised to invite visitors over to “his place”. Be sure you’ve had your Wheaties before lifting him out of his cage and into your lap; he’s an armful! Damian previously lived with adults and other kitties, and we think he’d be a wonderful companion for a similar household.

CUDDLES is a young female calico. Around six months old, she’s really still a kitten. Her markings are a patchwork quilt of vibrant calico colors, and her tail reminds us of a raccoon! True to her name, Cuddles loves to be held and enjoys a good scratch behind the ears. She will gratefully reward your kindness with gentle nuzzles and nose kisses. SUNNY: You know how I got my name? Well, a lady person was cleaning my cage and, of course, she had to take me out first. She immediately noticed how handsome I was and she just couldn’t keep her hands off my beautiful, long, buff colored hair. She told me I reminded her of golden sunshine and she said “Sunny” was just the right name for me. This lady loved it when I purred and rubbed my face against hers. She tells everyone how much I like to cuddle and that I’m so-o-o ready for my new home. (Especially since I’ve always lived in a house and not a cage). As my new guardian, you need to know that I don’t have any front claws so we’ll have to be extra careful to make sure I don’t get outdoors – I can’t protect myself! If you enjoy the sunshine, you’re gonna’ love me. We can become “Sunny and Share” our life together.

OCTAVIUS

OCTAVIUS is a young black cat. At almost one year old, he’s an energetic feline “teenager”. He’s long and sleek with a chiseled, fine boned face (quite appropriate for his noble Roman name). Octavius is a first-rate cuddler and will gently nuzzle his head into your hand. Be sure to have a brush handy, because he enjoys having his soft, silky coat brushed to its glossy best. JARVIS is one of three wonderful black kittens who are currently living in the same cage and sleep together in one cozy bundle of love! The three adorable siblings are equally lovable but do have slightly different personalities. Jarvis is the biggest of the three small kittens and the most outgoing (but adopt him soon before he grows out of his kittenness!). He is also the most inquisitive and playful. All black except for a tiny white smattering of fur on his chest, he’ll surely grow up to be a handsome dude! He was seen recently perched on the shoulder of a volunteer like a parrot on a pirate, happily purring away while surveying the room about him.

COOKIE is a black kitten with a fluffy medium-haired coat. She’s a gorgeous little girl, beautiful on the outside and the inside. A “sweet treat” of a kitten, Cookie is total lap cat who loves to cuddle. Not a demanding diva, she’s gentle and low-key, content to soak up all the attention you want to give her. She’s alert and curious, but can be a bit tentative about new surroundings. Cookie is eager to meet you and become your new best friend!

JOJO: Hi, I’m Jo Jo and please don’t say , “No No” to what I’m about to ask you. Do you like boy cats? If the answer is “YES”, I just may be interested in a permanent relationship. My mom taught me to beware of strangers so I might be a little apprehensive at first. But it just takes me a minute to calm down, sit and stay right in your lap. In fact, if you rub my head, I’ll think I’m in bed and fall right to sleep. I like to fool around with toys, the small furry kind, with feathers; they are real joy for “this boy“. You might not believe this, but my voice quivers a little when I purr; humans really like that about me. By the way I’m the sweet. sociable, orange, tabby male with beautiful markings. KEEPER
Hi, I’m Keeper. I’ve got long hair like my brother, but mine is gray and white. I am so thankful we were able to come here to the shelter since we don‘t have a home anymore. We like to sleep together and snuggle real close. If you’ve got the brush, I’ve got the time. I can’t brush you, but I can rub you with my nose; will that do? I know you’re busy, so in a nutshell, I’m just a sweet, undemanding guy who will take all the love you can spare. Me and my brother are just waiting for the day when that ‘special purrson” chooses us to be their new furry, family members. Oh, Happy Day!

WHISKA
Did you know there were cat treats named “Whiskas’? Well, there are; guess that’s where I got my name “Whiska“. I’m a black and white male with long hair and I’m a real treat; I will give you lots of pleasure and delight. Toys, with feathers on them, are my favorite and sometimes I’d rather play with them than play with you. Is that O.K.? Also, loud noises scare me a little bit. Bet they scare you, too. Now, here’s a little food for thought. How about coming by and spending some time with me. And while you’re here, you can spend some time with my brother. We are in the same cage. His name is “Keeper”. And, since I’m “my brother’s keeper”, when you adopt me, can we “keep him“, too?
