The Animal Protection Society of Durham is hosting Spay Days and will offer spay/neuter vouchers for a suggested donation of only $20, redeemable at a participating veterinary hospital.

APS staff will make the appointment for you. Offer available while resources last.

DAMIAN is a black cat with a big, solid body and a big, warm heart to match. He’s a talkative extrovert who enjoys socializing. Frequently you’ll see him sitting by his cage door, poised to invite visitors over to “his place”. Be sure you’ve had your Wheaties before lifting him out of his cage and into your lap; he’s an armful! Damian previously lived with adults and other kitties, and we think he’d be a wonderful companion for a similar household.

CUDDLES is a young female calico. Around six months old, she’s really still a kitten. Her markings are a patchwork quilt of vibrant calico colors, and her tail reminds us of a raccoon! True to her name, Cuddles loves to be held and enjoys a good scratch behind the ears. She will gratefully reward your kindness with gentle nuzzles and nose kisses. Beautiful, affectionate, and lively, Cuddles is the “trifecta” of cats… a winning combination for her lucky forever home.

SUNNY: You know how I got my name? Well, a lady person was cleaning my cage and, of course, she had to take me out first. She immediately noticed how handsome I was and she just couldn’t keep her hands off my beautiful, long, buff colored hair. She told me I reminded her of golden sunshine and she said “Sunny” was just the right name for me. This lady loved it when I purred and rubbed my face against hers. She tells everyone how much I like to cuddle and that I’m so-o-o ready for my new home. (Especially since I’ve always lived in a house and not a cage). As my new guardian, you need to know that I don’t have any front claws so we’ll have to be extra careful to make sure I don’t get outdoors – I can’t protect myself! If you enjoy the sunshine, you’re gonna’ love me. We can become “Sunny and Share” our life together.

OCTAVIUS

OCTAVIUS is a young black cat. At almost one year old, he’s an energetic feline “teenager”. He’s long and sleek with a chiseled, fine boned face (quite appropriate for his noble Roman name). Octavius is a first-rate cuddler and will gently nuzzle his head into your hand. Be sure to have a brush handy, because he enjoys having his soft, silky coat brushed to its glossy best. Octavius is also playful and inquisitive, and gets along well with his roommate. Why not make this handsome gentleman your lap cat?

JARVIS is one of three wonderful black kittens who are currently living in the same cage and sleep together in one cozy bundle of love! The three adorable siblings are equally lovable but do have slightly different personalities. Jarvis is the biggest of the three small kittens and the most outgoing (but adopt him soon before he grows out of his kittenness!). He is also the most inquisitive and playful. All black except for a tiny white smattering of fur on his chest, he’ll surely grow up to be a handsome dude! He was seen recently perched on the shoulder of a volunteer like a parrot on a pirate, happily purring away while surveying the room about him.

COCOA is a black kitten with a silky short-haired coat. He’s a snuggler, very content to be petted for a long time.
