Happy Endings - Kaley (formerly LuLu adopted February 2005)

Ben, my boyfriend, and I adopted Kaley (formerly "Lu Lu") from the APS of Durham Shelter in late February, 2005. At the time Kaley was 4 months old and was being fostered by the shelter vet, Dr. Manley, whom I work with at Legion Road Animal Clinic. Kaley immediately became best friends with our other dog, Khan, who was picked up off the side of the road at 4 months. Khan and Kaley are 5 months apart and they are inseparable! They are also partners in crime when digging holes in the yard, eating the trash, and rolling in deer poop! Dogs will be dogs :) Kaley also learned from Khan to play gently with our cat Torque and our new kitten Lumi!
Right after her adoption Kaley was a little nervous, but playing with Khan helped her relax in her new home. Kaley enjoys riding in the car; going on long walks (especially at the Eno River where she can swim!); chasing squirrels, rabbits, frogs, deer, etc; jogging around the neighborhood; and most of all she loves to snuggle! Kaley has really become my soul mate, and I love her so much! I can't imagine my life without her, and I know Khan can't either! Thanks so much for giving all of those deserving pets a chance for the good life!
