Dear APS employees and volunteers,
Thank you so much for loving Ruby so much for us before we adopted her. I
cannot explain how much joy she brings into our world. When she came to you
in Dec 06, she had many problems - an embedded collar and a torn ACL. Thank
you for providing her with the surgery and medical treatment she needed.
It is amazing to us that a dog who has obviously been mistreated has such a
happy outlook on life. She loves meeting new people, and can barely contain
her wiggles when she is out and about.
Ruby is such a treat! She is a snuggly, snuggly, goofy girl. Somehow her
morning walks have started to get earlier and earlier in the day. I wonder
if it has something to do with the polite "toy squeaking" squeakings when
she is ready for us to wake up? Some may find this irritating, but you just
can't get annoyed with Ruby when she wiggles on over to you in the morning!
Now the only mistreatment in Ruby's life is sour cat, Cassiopea. Ruby tries
to make friends with Cass each day, and each day Cass turns her down with a
quick "bop" on the head. It's nothing personal, Cass just feels that she is
far too sophisticated for a dog -- no worries, Ruby just moves on to more
important things like her Kong or squeaky toy.
We agree that Ruby's life motto is C'est la vie. She makes the best of life
and her positive attitude is infectious. Thank you so much for connecting us
to such an amazing dog!

P.S.-- Ruby LOVES her trainer, Jane Marshall! |
