Happy Endings

My boyfriend and I
adopted Spankey (formerly Percy) in April 2006. I had been trying to
convince my boyfriend to get a dog for several months, and he finally agreed
as a birthday present for me; I couldn't have asked for a better present!
When I first brought Spankey home, he seemed skiddish and unsure of his
surroundings which gave my boyfriend some concern.
Shortly thereafter, Spankey began to trust us and became very comfortable
very quickly. He quickly became ruler of the house, and everything became
either a bed for him to lay on, or a playground for him to play on. His
favorite activities include playing with his toys until he has ripped all
the stuffing out of them, bouncing his balls off the walls, chasing bigger
dogs at the dog park, making friends with any other animal he encounters
(cats, dogs, horses, hamsters, etc.), and running up and down the hallway
until he is near exhaustion, at which point he will jump up in our lap and
fall asleep. Spankey has provided us endless hours of unconditional love and
enjoyment.
