Happy Endings - Allie (formerly Dottie adopted April 2007)

I got Allie, formerly *Dottie*, at the begining of April 2007! She has been with us for just a few weeks. She has already won my heart and has found her *forever home*. She is my second dog from APS of Durham. I got my dog Alfie there just a month before. She is the sweetest dog....and the absolute loudest at the dog park! She loves to get the other dogs to chase her while she barks and barks. She is so much fun.
She and Alfie get along perfectly. I couldn't have chosen a better match. They love each other. It is so cute!
She does need some basic obedience classes. She is a wild and crazy little thing on the leash (which you wil see at the APS walk)! We have also had some potty training issues. She is very eager to please though and is trying hard. She learns so quickly with a little patience and calm.....and lots of treats! We are enrolled in an obedience class and start in a couple weeks. I know she will be the star pupil!
Lots of thanks to The APS. The volunteer at the shelter spent all afternoon with us helping us to introduce Alfie to different dogs. She was very nice and patient. The entire staff was so helpful throughout both adoptions. I would recommend adopting from them anytime!
