Happy Endings - Beastie (adopted Oct. 31, 2007 formerly Sabrina)

Beastie, aka Kitten Little (the artist formerly known as Sabrina) lived the first month of her life in the frightening world of homeless cats. She lived the second month at the APS, most of the time too scared to leave her bed in the back of the cage. She would hardly ever come out to eat or play if anyone was watching. But no matter how dark the shadows in the back of the cage, no matter how tight a ball she curled herself into, her magic shone through and captured my heart. I asked her if she wanted to come home with me and she said yes! Our first few months together have been incredible. When she first come home she was overwhelmed by all the open space and spent most of the time with flattened ears and bug out eyes huddled under my sweater or behind a row of books in the bookcase. Within days she was playful and boldly exploring her new home. She still loves to hide in the bookcase, and even hisses sometimes when you approach her, always followed immediately by a purr so powerful and joyous it is hard to believe it could come from such a tiny body! She is the most loving stormingly beautiful being I have ever known. Beastie and I can never thank the APS enough for taking such good care of her and giving us a chance for a new life. -Brianna
