Hello Durham APS!
I just visited your website after almost 4 years, and I stumbled across your
Happy Endings section.
I wanted to share my happy ending that all began when I adopted a beautiful
gray kitten who I promptly named Gus. In May 2004, I had just graduated from
college, and I needed a companion in my new apartment. I have always loved
cats, and I was so excited to get one of my own. My heart was set on an
orange kitty, but when I saw Gus, a blue gray sweet boy with a small white
dot on his chest, it was love at first sight.
Gus has been a wonderful companion over the past few years. Boyfriends have
come and gone, but Gus is my constant love! He's a happy indoor kitty, who
loves chasing a laser pointer and playing fetch with anything he can carry. |
He's grown to be a BIG boy, and I can always count on him to keep me warm at
night.
Gus is quite worldly, and he has moved with me from North Carolina to
Florida back to North Carolina and finally to Texas. With my new job in
Texas, I am gone most of the day, so Gus got a new companion from a local
shelter in Austin. Charlie, the orange kitten, keeps Gus on his toes, and
they are now the best of friends.
I can't thank the Durham ASP enough for all the wonderful work done. I'll be
forever grateful for finding Gus, one of my best friends, there. Love and
prayers to all the animals in the shelter and those still needing rescuing.
Warmly,
Jean, Gus, and Charlie Thomas
