Happy Endings
- Maverick & Charlee (formerly Malcolm and Maisie )

 |
I adopted Maverick Jan. 2, 2004 and Charlee Dec.
22, 2006. Maverick picked me, getting up in his cage and staring me down
with his big hound dog eyes. He took to crate training very quickly and
potty training was no problem. I picked Charlee partially because she looked
like Maverick, and I wanted a younger dog for him to play with. Charlee has
lots of spunk and loves to run and play, so that has been a great fit.
Maverick has been kind enough to teach Charlee all about crates and walking
on a leash (she's been slower to learn there though) and, most importantly,
playing tug! These two now play like littermates and are a pleasure to have
around. Thanks APS for giving these guys a chance! Charlee especially looked
a bit rough -- she was burned, emaciated, and had lost a great deal of fur
to mange when I first brought her home. Now she eats all she wants, the
mange is all gone, and her burn has healed really well. If I do say myself,
she's a pretty girl.
