Happy Endings - Max (formerly Monty Adopted October 2007)

Hello!
This is Mara Thacker and on Tuesday October 9, 2007 I adopted Max, then called Monty, from your shelter. Just a month later I cannot imagine my life without him. We love to take long walks together and play with his plush hippo toy. Every morning starts with a cuddle and I can't think of a better way to start the day. I remember on his bio page it said he wasn't much of a lapdog and that has changed. He loves to sit on my lap, especially when I am on the computer or working on homework. He also loves to give lots of kisses. We are working on obedience training, which is going so-so. He has that willful terrier personality, but hot dog treats really help. We are also working on leash manners. I know it's hard to walk nicely when there are all those squirrels just waiting to be caught! I have included a few pictures of him. The first one is Max being "King of Castle" and reclining on "his" bed. Then there is Max enjoying a fresh Kong.
Finally, we have a picture of us having a cuddle. I don't know if you can use them all (because I am in one, and let's face it, it's all about Max), but anyway, I just wanted to thank you guys for taking such good care of him until I could get him. He is my best friend and my family and I am so grateful to have him in my life.
Thanks for all your hard work!
Mara Thacker
