Happy Endings - Tucker (formerly Sassy adopted October 11, 2006)

Tucker (formally “Sassy”) adopted 10/11/2006
Tucker has been such a wonderful addition to our new little family! After getting married in July, my husband and I knew that we wanted to open our home and rescue a dog that needed a forever home. We adopted Tucker on October 11, 2006, unintentionally adopting her during Adopt a Pet month! I saw her picture on the APS of Durham website, showed my husband, and we knew she was it! That weekend, we drove out to Durham and met “Sassy” (her shelter name). She was so playful and affectionate that we quickly placed an application. It took about a week for her to come home so she could be spayed, and we were so nervous that we might lose the adoption. Her homecoming was a joyous one!
She earned the name “Tucker” the first night home when we noticed she kept “tucking” herself under and into everything! Under coffee tables, into empty boxes, under chairs, under our legs…it’s a perfect fit!
Tucker has quickly settled into our family. She loves her pink chew toys, Kong treats, and playing with other puppies at the dog park! Tucker is the star of her puppy classes, a perfect lady during car rides, and we receive daily compliments on how gorgeous she is when we go for walks! She is turning into such a saucy, confident dog! Tucker makes us so happy and it touches our hearts everyday knowing that we saved a life.
Thank you so much for giving us this wonderful, furry gift!!
Beth Anne
