Happy Endings - Vernon (Adopted 12/22/2007)

Hi APS of Durham:
I adopted Vernon on December 22 of 2007. He is a basset hound mix and was very, very thin when I got him. He has turned out to be the greatest dog ever. He gets along well with my other 3 dogs and 4 cats. He readily sits on command and offers his paw for a shake. He adds a wonderful baritone bark to the chorus of my pack.

He is the happiest, most goofy dog I have ever seen. His tail is constantly wagging and he plays non stop with the toys and bones.

Tug of war is his favorite game, and I am forced to play it with him once he has exhausted the dogs. Socks are currently the favorite tugging toy.

As you can see, he is not longer the skin and bones dog I brought home but has turned into a couch potato who hogs the remote. I am at a loss as to why the person who had him no longer wanted him, but their loss is most definitively my gain.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to add Vernon to my home. My experience with the APS of Durham was very good and I will be recommending you to anyone I know who wants a dog.

Thank you again

Sincerely,
Janet Dow
