Willow's name at the APS was "Hannah" and prior to
that, "Snow-Dot". Willow and I first met on March 31st, 2007. We met in the room
where pets and potential owners see if they are compatible. Well, this little
dog (23 pounds at the time) put her paws on my knees, and then she put her paws
over her eyes as though she were crying, "please take me home, I promise I'll be
good..." Oh my goodness, it was so hard to leave her there that morning - I
brought her home on Wednesday, April 4th. While I was looking forward to the
challenges of my new household member, I had NO IDEA how deep that relationship
would become.
My Willow is now 28 pounds. She just had her vet appt and got all her stuff done
that needed to be done. She is such a joy - this perpetual "two-year-old child"
- and there are no words to express how close we are. I am so grateful to the
APS and to the family who brought "Snow-Dot/Hannah" to the shelter so that we
could be a twosome family.
Thank-you,
Elaine Fenton
