Tiffany Fund
As an open access shelter, we often get in
animals that require basic medical treatment for infections, infestations,
abuse and neglect. Unfortunately, we also see some that have extensive
injuries or serious medical conditions the treatment of which, because of
our limited funds, presents us with real challenges. Sometimes heartbreaking
decisions have to be made to euthanize otherwise adoptable animals because
the diagnosis and/or treatment of remediable conditions is beyond our
financial capabilities.

COFFEE,
a perky little Poodle who's just over a
year old, came to the shelter after breaking his femur (thigh bone).
X-rays showed that it was a serious fracture that would need to be
internally fixed with a plate and pins. Coffee has successfully
undergone surgery, and is making a great recovery!
He's now in foster care, where he will require 3 more months of
crate rest, and a repeat X-ray in 6-8 weeks to check that his
fracture is healing well.
Coffee is a playful, fun little dog who has been unfailingly
cheerful throughout his ordeal. We're all happy that it looks as
though his sad story will have a happy ending :-)
If you would like to help Coffee and other animals like him who come
to the shelter requiring specialized medical or surgical treatment,
please consider a gift to the Tiffany Fund.
