Love is in the air!

On Saturday February 13th the APS of Durham held its annual Meet Your Match adoption event. Staff and volunteers decorated the shelter with a Valentine’s theme and all day long people came in to see the animals. Adoption rates were reduced for our “Sweetheart” pets and a contest was held with the winning cat and dog getting a huge prize pack to go home with once adopted. Melody took first place with the dogs and Katie won amongst the cats.
We had 17 animals that were adopted that day alone!
We thank everyone who came out to share the love and are grateful to the 30 volunteers that helped make it a fun and successful day!
