shelly01.jpgHi, it’s me Shelly (I used to be called Ellie)!  I came to the APS with my brother Frankie, and got adopted in January 2009.  I am having a great time in my new home!  My big sister Rosie (another APS alum) is teaching me all the important things I need to know: how to bark at the mailman, steal laundry out of the dirty clothes pile, tackle the cats and, most importantly, how to look extra cute and pathetic in order to score more treats.  I’m eating well, get lots of toys, belly rubs, and plenty of exercise running around and wrestling.  We go for walks in the park, and car rides to the store to resupply the larder.  Rosie says the pantry is the most important place in the house…even more important than the bed and the sofa.   I used to be good at helping retrieve lost and neglected shoes from under the bed, but I’ve grown a little since I came home and don’t fit under the bed anymore.  Luckily there are shoes in the closet that I can help get out.  I’m also really good at snuggling.  I just celebrated my birthday with my new family, and it’s all because y’all took such good care of me when I was with you.  Thank you so much for all you did for me, and all you do for the animals in your care.  You are the best!
