APS of Durham is proud to be partnering with the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA and Best Friends Animals Society as part of Best Friends’ Shelter Collaborative Program with a goal of increasing lifesaving for dogs and cats entering APS of Durham. Movers for Mutts was a resounding success!
Every October in honor of Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, APS of Durham partners with Two Men And A Truck for their Movers for Mutts campaign. As part of their 6th annual campaign, Two Men And A Truck generously matched all donations to APS of Durham! They’re wonderful supporters of APS of Durham and we couldn’t be more proud to partner with them to accomplish our mission. Together with their matching donation, Two Men And A Truck raised $20,000 for APS, the largest Movers For Mutts total to date!Read more here!

Become a Volunteer
Volunteers are vital to the lives of homeless pets in Durham. APS Volunteers pledge at least two hours a week to socializing cats or dogs, assisting with clerical needs, working with our Education Committee or filling other needs. Click here to learn more. Read more
