Annie Jane
Personality Color: green
Green dogs are a bit more shy and sensitive, maybe a little anxious, but are sweet and they try hard. These dogs will flourish with patient adopters providing gentle guidance and confidence building. They are likely too timid for active homes with children, and would do best in a calm, quiet home getting the TLC they deserve.- adult

I am a gentle, sensitive soul who is looking for a soft place to land. The big, bustling shelter environment can make me feel a little timid at first, but don’t let my initial caution fool you—I am deeply affectionate, completely devoted, and 100% convinced that I am a lap dog! Once I feel safe with you, I will climb right in close to soak up every ounce of love you have to give.
I am built for peaceful days, soft blankets, and gentle companionship. Here are a few sweet traits from my résumé:
- The Ultimate Lap Dog: Forget personal space! Once I know you are in my corner, my absolute favorite place to be is curled up right against you, resting my head on your chest and sharing sweet snuggles.
- Polite Scholar Manners: I already know “sit”! I take treats with the gentlest, softest touch, and positive, treat-based encouragement is the key to helping my confidence blossom.
- Private Dining Preference: When it comes to mealtime, I appreciate having my own calm space without an audience. I prefer to enjoy my food peacefully without anyone hovering over me so I can decompress.
- Gentle Canine Greetings: Around other dogs, I am polite, quiet, and cautious. I appreciate soft, gentle hello sniffs and do best taking things slow with calm, respectful canine friends.
I haven’t felt quite comfortable enough to figure out toys just yet, but once I settle into a home where I feel secure, my playful side will surely unlock.
I am looking for a calm, supportive household (and gentle kids 6+) ready to offer patient reassurance, cozy spots to recharge, and unconditional love.
If you have a warm lap and an open heart ready for a devoted companion, I am ready to be your loyal, gentle shadow.
