Baloo
Personality Color: green
Green dogs are a bit more shy and sensitive, maybe a little anxious, but are sweet and they try hard. These dogs will flourish with patient adopters providing gentle guidance and confidence building. They are likely too timid for active homes with children, and would do best in a calm, quiet home getting the TLC they deserve.- young

Bio data
Looking for the “bear” necessities of life? So am I! Hi, my name is Baloo. I might be a little shy when I first meet you, but I warm up quickly to gentle affection and treats — next thing you know, I’ll be clambering right into my favorite spot on your lap! I love stuffed toys and chomping on a Kong, and once I feel comfortable with you, I’ll follow you around — I just feel more confident if I can see my person. Give me lots of positive experiences and encouragement and watch me bloom! I’ve got a gentle soul, a heart full of love, and a happy wag for everyone I meet. Come visit me today!
More about Baloo from his foster:
Baloo is all huge noggin, gangly legs, clumsy wipeouts, and everything else you’d expect from a young guy still growing into his body. In a house full of other animals (four dogs, four cats), he found his place easily — he loves to play with the beagle (their favorite thing is carrying around the same toy at the same time — gah, the cuteness), he quickly learned to avoid the grumpy old chihuahua, and although he does like to give the cats a good sniff from time to time, he doesn’t bother them. He’s been doing great walking on a split leash with the beagle — it has really helped his leash training to have a brave pal to show him the ropes.
Crate training is coming along well too — he protests a bit at first but can settle himself. He doesn’t love being crated at night, but he does just fine on a dog bed next to our bed with another dog and a couple of cats in the room. If he can find humans who will let him sleep in the people bed, he’ll be in heaven! And if he finds a lap, he’ll definitely try to sit in it. He’s one of those two-speed dogs, with the dominant speed being “I’m being lazy and don’t even try to move me.” If you need him to do something when he’s in that mode, you’d best be prepared with treats!
He’s a charmer — be ready for lots of head-tilting and adoring expressions. You gotta meet this one!
Kids: 6+, mouthy at times (soft mouth), worried by unfamiliar noises
Dogs: Gentle sniffing at first, warms up to chase games and wrestling if other dog is interested
