Bart
Personality Color: green
Green dogs are a bit more shy and sensitive, maybe a little anxious, but are sweet and they try hard. These dogs will flourish with patient adopters providing gentle guidance and confidence building. They are likely too timid for active homes with children, and would do best in a calm, quiet home getting the TLC they deserve.- adult

More about Bart from a recent Doggy Day Out:
This beautiful, brindled, boxy-headed baby is such a sweetheart. 🥰 Bart was a bit nervous at first but warmed up quickly. We started our day together with a short hike at Al Buehler Trail—we passed several dogs & people and he did really well. He does a bit of “swerving” left and right but overall, he’s really good on a leash. We went to Vessel for a pup cup, which he enjoyed, then headed over to Barnes Supply, where he got some love from the staff — they tried to give him a treat, but he was more interested in the human giving it to him — and went home with a corn cob plushie. At home, he followed me around my apartment or cuddled with me on the couch as we cooled off in the A/C. We even had a “spa moment” where I gave him a full-body massage with some hypoallergenic wipes, which he LOVED. He met my dog through a dog gate and again, did really well. We had a little backyard time before heading back to the shelter. All in all, a pretty perfect day. ❤️
Bart would likely do best in a quiet, relaxed home where he can build his confidence, gain some more weight, and practice his cues. He’s eager to please, so I think he’d enjoy training. He whined a little when he was nervous but didn’t bark all day, so he’s a pretty quiet boy.
