Billie

Personality Color: orange

Orange dogs are likely young, energetic, and enthusiastic with lots of love to give! They will thrive with regular exercise, and some training classes would be a good idea. These dogs would be a great companion for an active person who enjoys running or hiking in the park. Fenced-in yard a plus!

Read a little more about Billie from her foster family : “Billie is the sweetest dog. She’ll plop down and cuddle up to you at every chance she gets, whether that’d be while you’re cooking or on your laptop. She loves playing in water, looking out the window, feeling the wind on car rides, playing chase or tug, destroying toys that she likes and preserving toys that she loves (ropes, squeaky toys, and tough chew toys are amongst her favorite). She almost never barks but has a powerful one when she does. She is very smart, learns very quickly, and knows her name except when she really wants to go say hi to someone. She knows “touch”, “sit”, “focus”, and “take it” very well. Her mouthiness has gotten much better but she does still have some play aggression that her forever family will need to continue to work on. Same thing with leash walking, she’s quickly gotten better at it but still occasionally pulls and jumps, especially if there’s a lot of people and excitement nearby. Billie loves going to the dog park, she is super social and loves people and pups, and she especially loves playing with other dogs that will race or play chase with her at high speed. Her agility is something else! Billie is super high energy, but she’s also calm when she’s home alone and will wander around and then go take a nap in her crate or her bed. She would love an energetic family (who is ideally experienced or at least willing to put in the money and/or time to learn) with lots of activity who can give her all the time and love she deserves. A fenced yard and/or another pup to play with will probably be great too.”
