Goodwin
Personality Color: blue
Blue dogs are easy going and easily adapt to new situations. They are generally calm, may be playful but not overly exuberant, and will likely be happy doing just about anything with you. These dogs will be a good fit for just about any home, and would be great for first-time dog owners.- adult

Hiya friend! I’m a curious and friendly guy who’s so happy to meet you! I may have a few greys on my face, but that has not slowed me down one bit. I’m a playful guy who loves to chase after a ball or toy! I also love to explore and get scritches! I already know sit and paw. I am a bit anxious at times but am sure to settle into a nice routine.
Any age kids
Mostly ignores other dogs, needs polite, low-key dog
Read a note from Goodwin’s foster:
Goodwin is a happy guy, 45 pounds, 5 years old, with a few distinguishing gray hairs who loves to chase after a toy as much as he loves a good snooze. He’s the perfect medium-energy dog, house trained, and a good car rider. Not to humble brag, but Goodwin knows sit, paw, and is doing really well learning stay. He will remain in a sit while you “hide” in the other room, and then come when called to receive a treat!! He will retrieve a ball and drop it at your feet for another throw. He does need to be reminded not to pull on leash, but his leash manners are improving with the use of an Easy-Walk harness.
Goodwin likes knowing where his human is, but isn’t quite a Velcro dog. He is a little uneasy being left and will bust out of a crate, but with his impeccable house manners we simply stopped using the crate. He’s been left alone uncrated for 4 hours at a time, is not destructive, and simply waits for your return.
Goodwin largely ignores other dogs. That said, he also gets along fine with dogs with similar personalities. He did great living with his temporary foster’s dog for a week and seemed to enjoy laying in the sun with her. When she claimed her mom’s bed and bedroom, he was like, “Okay, I’ll be out here on the couch” and proceeded to sleep on the couch every night. The foster also left them alone with free roam of the house for several hours, a few different times, and they did great!! Goodwin tends to prefer humans to dogs, would do great as an only dog, but may also enjoy a laid back four-legged sibling.
If you’re looking for an easy-going gentleman, Goodwin may be your guy!!!
