Goodwin
Personality Color: blue
Blue dogs are easy going and easily adapt to new situations. They are generally calm, may be playful but not overly exuberant, and will likely be happy doing just about anything with you. These dogs will be a good fit for just about any home, and would be great for first-time dog owners.- adult

They call me Goodwin because I’m such a GOOD boy! I might be gray, but don’t let that fool you, I’m only about 5 years old and have plenty of energy to spare. I like to exercise by playing with other dogs or playing fetch with my favorite squeaky ball. If no one is around to play with me, I get my energy out by chasing my tail! Don’t worry, though, I love to sleep too. My foster mom lets me sleep in her bed, and I’ll go to bed around 9pm and won’t get up until 10am.
Sometimes I get anxious in new places and I seem very distracted. I just need some time to sniff around every corner and get to know my way around. Once I’m used to a place, I’m back to my sweet, calm, and attentive self. Some of my favorite places to hang out are the garden outside of Namu and the patio at Cloche Coffee. If there’s a sunny patch and a chew toy for me, I’m content to lay there for hours. When she goes to these places without me, I’ve done well at home with a peanut butter kong; I usually just sleep on the couch and wait for her to get back.
Some other things you should know about me: I’m very smart! I know paw, sit, lay down, and stay. I’m still learning some leash manners and walk best when I have an easy-walk harness on. I’m also really great with other dogs: All it takes is a quick sniff and I know that I found a new friend. I like to take car rides and will hop right in and stick my head out the window to sniff the air. The best thing ever is when I get butt scritches and lots of affection from the people I meet. Lastly, and maybe most importantly, I do GREAT with a good potty routine!
Some quirks that I have: wheels make me nervous, and sometimes I bark at people who go by with bicycles, scooters, or strollers. I also love to chase shadows and reflections on the wall–if you shine a flashlight on the wall, I’ll try to catch it and bark at it. Sometimes this happens in public and my foster mom has to move me to a different area so I can calm down.
Kids: mostly ignores, might be jumpy if playing with them
Other dogs: Super friendly, enjoys playing with them and would probably do well in a house with a friend
