Personality Color: green

Green dogs are a bit more shy and sensitive, maybe a little anxious, but are sweet and they try hard. These dogs will flourish with patient adopters providing gentle guidance and confidence building. They are likely too timid for active homes with children, and would do best in a calm, quiet home getting the TLC they deserve.

Bio data

Well hello! I’m Holly, a curious and independent girl who has a mind of her own! I’m very sweet and friendly once I know you, and I’m affectionate on my terms. I like Pupperoni, exploring all the smells, and affection when I’m ready. I’ll need basic training, brain games, positive experiences and supervision when outdoors. Visit me today!

Kids: 10+, independent, can be controlling when worried

Dogs: controlling, needs low-key/tolerant dog, sniffing partner

Holly has been spending some time in foster, here’s what the humans have to say about her:

Holly is our first foster, and we have absolutely loved her. Miss Holly is so so sweet and we call her our “dainty girl” because she gives us so many sweet, gentle kisses. She has been potty trained and learned how to sit on command, and she listens to us very well! She is so smart and is continuing to learn new commands and make behavioral improvements with us. She definitely needs an understanding owner who can be gentle and patient with her.

She’s a bundle of high energy, so she definitely needs to be in a home where there is a yard and her owner is really active and can take her on multiple walks a day (bonus would be if there was another dog for her to play with, because she LOVES to play!). She also loves to run and has become my new running partner – she has done multiple 3 mile runs with me at 7:15 pace, and she barely breaks a sweat (or, I guess, a pant?). She has a very dominant personality, so she has needed a slow introduction with our also dominant 4 year old pitbull. But now, they are best friends and play all day long! She has been introduced to dogs of all sizes and been great with all of them.
