Hopper

Personality Color: orange

Orange dogs are likely young, energetic, and enthusiastic with lots of love to give! They will thrive with regular exercise, and some training classes would be a good idea. These dogs would be a great companion for an active person who enjoys running or hiking in the park. Fenced-in yard a plus!

Bio data

Guess why they call me Hopper! I’m a sweet, smart, curious, and active guy! I love to wiggle and walk, and you can always find me with a toy in my mouth, especially if it’s a squeaky one. I love to play, run, and show off my hops. My volunteer friends say I’m a favorite of theirs to walk and train—I have a great “sit” and am also working on down, paw, and up (my favorite!). I’ve been on some hikes and trips around town and got rave reviews for being a friendly and well-behaved boy. I can’t wait to learn even more tricks and sniff my way around on adventures with my future person or people. At the shelter, I’m a star in playgroup. I really like most other dogs, especially ones who will play rough and mouthy with me. I used to be a little too much for some dogs, but I’ve gotten a lot better at being more polite to make shier dogs more comfortable. I weigh about 40 pounds and have been at the shelter since January 17th. I’m a busy guy who would love to go everywhere with you! I hope you’ll come meet me soon.

Kids: Recommend kids 13+, history of mouthiness

Dogs: Friendly but a little stiff at first, slow intros, then playful
