Ingrid
Personality Color: green
Green dogs are a bit more shy and sensitive, maybe a little anxious, but are sweet and they try hard. These dogs will flourish with patient adopters providing gentle guidance and confidence building. They are likely too timid for active homes with children, and would do best in a calm, quiet home getting the TLC they deserve.- adult

Looking for a homebody to cuddle with? That’s me! I’m a sweet and sensitive girl who is shy and takes time to feel comfortable in new places! I’m super affectionate and LOVE gentle affection – especially shoulder rubs! I’ll need a quiet home where I can relax and build up my confidence! I prefer going slow and learning things slowly in exchange for treats or pets. Are we a perfect match? Take me home today!
Kids: 8+, sensitive, gentle kids
Dogs: Tolerated some sniffing, mostly avoids, slow intros with very gentle dogs
Heartworm positive – APS is currently offering heartworm treatment at no additional cost through our foster-to-adopt period.
More about Ingrid from her foster:
Ingrid is such a loyal and affectionate girl! She loves following her person from room to room and being close for snuggles. She’s curious and loves to investigate things! She enjoys soft squeaky toys, peanut butter Kongs and all other treats. She’s great in the car for errands or trips. Ingrid is potty trained in her foster home, crate trained, knows “sit” and “leave it,” and walks beautifully on leash without pulling. She’d be perfect for someone looking for a devoted companion—whether that’s a single person, an older couple, or a family with kids old enough to understand that she has a sensitive soul. She’s a sweetheart who just wants to be loved and by your side!
