Lexie
Personality Color: green
Green dogs are a bit more shy and sensitive, maybe a little anxious, but are sweet and they try hard. These dogs will flourish with patient adopters providing gentle guidance and confidence building. They are likely too timid for active homes with children, and would do best in a calm, quiet home getting the TLC they deserve.- adult

Bio data
Hiiii there. I’m just the sweetest girl–I’ll totally melt your heart. When I close my eyes and lean into you for pets, you’ll feel 100 feet tall. My taste is simple: I like scritches, treats, and safe, gentle people. Will you come spend some time with me?
Kids: 6+, gentle kids
Dogs: Slow intros with gentle dogs, likes to play but can be too much for some dogs
More about Lexie:
Hi, I’m Lexie! I’m in foster care and have been such a good girl. I am potty trained and crate trained and sleep through the night without a peep! I know “sit” and “shake,” and I’ll “wait” when you put my food down even though this is VERY hard for me! I really like the dogs who live here, just maybe a little too much—I love to play and can be too rough with them sometimes (in my defense, they are all old men). There are cats here too and I try hard to be polite with them, but I really want to play with them too! So it’s probably better if my new home doesn’t have cats.
I am a shy girl at first and uncertain of new people and situations. When I learn to trust you, though, I’m a huge love bug! My favorite thing is to cuddle next to my foster mom. I have been gentle with the children I’ve met, but if my new family has kids, it would be better if they are old enough to understand that sudden moves and loud noises will scare me. It would be great if there was a confident dog in the house who would help show me that new people and things are safe, but I’d also do well as an only dog — I mean, that way I’d get ALL the love and pets!
Fun fact about me: I think ice cubes are a fabulous treat! I come running whenever someone opens the freezer and wait patiently to get one.
I love comfy dog beds, nylabones, playing ball and tug, and surgically dismantling stuffed toys, ha! And napping—I really love a good nap! I’m so sweet and can’t wait to find my new family. Is it you?
