Mirage
Personality Color: green
Green dogs are a bit more shy and sensitive, maybe a little anxious, but are sweet and they try hard. These dogs will flourish with patient adopters providing gentle guidance and confidence building. They are likely too timid for active homes with children, and would do best in a calm, quiet home getting the TLC they deserve.- young

Bio data
Look how cute I am! I’m a timid girl who is very fearful in new situations. With my friends, I’m sweet, playful, excited, affectionate, and did I mention sweet?! I’m a little shy at first but quick to fall in love when I warm up! I do love treats, and I’ll benefit from positive experiences with gentle people, confidence building, and a solid routine. Let’s get started today!
Kids: 10+, worried by strangers and fast movements
Dogs: Stiff but soliciting, slow intros with gentle dogs
Mirage has been spending some time in foster. Here’s what the humans have to say about her:
“Mirage is a smart, active pup looking for her forever home! Having fostered Mirage for the past 2 months, we can attest to her intelligence, goofiness, and eager willingness to learn. Depending on the setting, she sometimes needs a brief introductory period with new people (just a few minutes with sniffs and treats), but she’ll quickly be giving you kisses and rolling over for belly rubs after realizing you’re just a new friend. Her love of treats is a great bonus when training her- and this girl is so fun to train! She learned ‘sit’, ‘paw’, ‘stay’ and ‘no’ in just a few days and has a very impressive memory with routines. She was housebroken in less than a week! Mirage is wonderful around dogs and kids (even toddlers- she mostly greets happily, then ignores). We have not tested her with cats, but she does bark when she spots them on walks. This goofy pup also adores her toys- she will spend hours chewing a Kong or bone and loves a good game of tug-o-war with rope toys. Mirage’s ideal home has another friendly dog or two that she can run around with, but her secondary fosters also report that she is wonderful as a solo pup! She is fully kennel trained and sleeps without a peep each night. Potential adopters should be aware that this girl thrives with a yard and will require walks or active playtime (fetch, puzzle treat toys, etc) to expend her energy each day if no yard is available to her. You won’t need to worry about needing motivation to exercise with this girl around. Mirage has come so far with her manners and training since leaving the shelter, and we can’t wait to see her thrive in her forever home.”
