RECENTLY ADOPTED

Molly

Personality Color: green

Green dogs are a bit more shy and sensitive, maybe a little anxious, but are sweet and they try hard. These dogs will flourish with patient adopters providing gentle guidance and confidence building. They are likely too timid for active homes with children, and would do best in a calm, quiet home getting the TLC they deserve.

More about Molly from her time in foster care:

Molly is a very sweet, gentle girl who is fully housetrained [please note that any dog may have an adjustment period in a new environment] and walks nicely on a leash. She does get excited when she sees other dogs on walks and would benefit from someone who can help redirect her attention, but she absolutely loves to roughhouse and play with her foster brother. She also makes a great running companion!

Molly does not enjoy being in a crate; however, she does very well when left loose in her own bedroom. She cried briefly the first couple of times she was left alone but settled quickly and now does great when home by herself. She is very gentle when taking treats and already knows how to sit and shake.  She slept perfectly through the night on her very first night with us, and continues to sleep soundly in her bed without any fuss!

She has been calm, respectful, and sweet with our niece and nephew, so we think she would do well in a home with young children. Molly doesn’t jump and seems aware of her size. She is relaxed and calm in the house—unless she’s happily wrestling with her foster brother! She enjoys toys and bones and will even sit up and beg for treats from time to time.
