Oberon

Personality Color: orange

Orange dogs are likely young, energetic, and enthusiastic with lots of love to give! They will thrive with regular exercise, and some training classes would be a good idea. These dogs would be a great companion for an active person who enjoys running or hiking in the park. Fenced-in yard a plus!

Let’s get exploring! I’m a curious guy who loves to use his nose. I’m affectionate once comfortable, and can be excitable. I like treats, affection on my terms, and exploring! I need folks to go slow with me, be gentle, and help me learn basic training and manners. I have lots of potential, can you help me reach it?!

Kids: 8+, can be jumpy, grabby with treats

Dogs: tried to hump, then ignored, needs slow and careful intros

Oberon has been at the shelter since February and thanks to some amazing volunteers, he just had his first Doggie Day Out! Here’s what the humans had to say about him:

Oberon jumped right in the car and was a great passenger
He would make a great brewery dog! He was relaxed around new people and just wanted love and scritches from everyone
He’s interested in birds and squirrels, but much preferred head pats and tummy rubs so lost interest in the little critters quickly
Oberon saw some loud motorcycles and was not reactive or afraid. What a brave boy!
While out, Oberon saw a runner and we have a feeling he’d make a great running partner
