IN FOSTER CARE

Peanut

Personality Color: orange

Orange dogs are likely young, energetic, and enthusiastic with lots of love to give! They will thrive with regular exercise, and some training classes would be a good idea. These dogs would be a great companion for an active person who enjoys running or hiking in the park. Fenced-in yard a plus!

Bio data

Peanut has been spending some time in foster, here’s what the humans have to say about him:

Are you looking to become a card-carrying “friend of Peanut”? This little guy is incredibly affectionate and thinks everyone he meets qualifies for this deal but you get extra reward stamps if you spend more time with him! His ideal day includes using a wobbler toy for his food, going for a walk, getting in the car, going to the coffee shop and people watching for an hour, getting in the car again (!!! Peanut loves to go for rides), going to the pet store to sniff all the bags of dog food, taking a biggggggg nap outside in the sun, and then playing some frisbee before another nap. With some evening zoomies to cap off the day, he’s ready to settle into his crate for another snooze.

The other thing he wants you to know about him is that he is working on being able to be by himself but it’s pretty tough right now. He’s had quite a bit of obedience training but was abandoned for a while and gets worried when he cannot see a “friend of Peanut”. This might mean he’s a great match for a house with another dog for endless dog games, an active family with dog savvy kids or an understanding human who will help him work through this.

All in all, he’s got a super big heart and is ready to welcome everybody in.
