Orange dogs are likely young, energetic, and enthusiastic with lots of love to give! They will thrive with regular exercise, and some training classes would be a good idea. These dogs would be a great companion for an active person who enjoys running or hiking in the park. Fenced-in yard a plus!

Petey recently had a doggy day out, here’s what the humans have to say about him:

I had a really wonderful afternoon with Petey today. He gently climbed into my car and sat quietly while we drove downtown. We ran some errands and he walked so well on the leash. He was wide-eyed taking in all the sights, sounds and smells. He seemed unfazed by the school children having recess right outside of my apartment, but I did notice that he was a little afraid of big, loud trucks. He went into shops with me downtown and was SO WELL BEHAVED. He loved saying hello to anyone was met. We hung out at my apartment for a bit and he waited patiently in my office while I answered some work emails. As we left my house to take him back to the shelter he got to sniff the Christmas tree in my lobby and meet the staff in my building. They all called him a gentle giant.
