Pumba

Personality Color: orange

Orange dogs are likely young, energetic, and enthusiastic with lots of love to give! They will thrive with regular exercise, and some training classes would be a good idea. These dogs would be a great companion for an active person who enjoys running or hiking in the park. Fenced-in yard a plus!

Bio data

They call me Pumba, and I’m 100% pure charm and personality! I might not be a warthog, but I definitely share their love for snacks and goofy adventures. I’m a playful, happy-go-lucky boy who is always excited to see you. Things that I like are toys, treats, people, and exploring. Since I’m still young, I could benefit from enrichment, brain games, and calming exercises. I promise to always bring a smile to your face! Come in to adopt me today!

Kids: 8+, can be jumpy when excited

Dogs: Friendly sniffing, offers rowdy play

More about Pumba from his time in foster care:

Pumba is truly a bully bundle of joy to have around the house! This friendly, outgoing young boy loves to be involved. He’s the epitome of “just happy to be here.” He’s been great in our home with one other young dog and three cats. He’s super treat-motivated, which has made teaching him cues like “sit,” “down,” and “leave it” easy! He enjoys tennis balls, toys, tug, and giving kisses while invading your personal space. Pumba would be a great match for an active family, as he still has some puppy energy. He would do well with slightly older kids, as he’s still learning not to jump up in his excitement (all in love, of course!). He has shown curiosity towards the resident cats but no aggression, and he generally takes the hint if they tell him to buzz off. Come claim your soul dog today — Pumba is truly a special little guy!
