Puptart

Personality Color: green

Green dogs are a bit more shy and sensitive, maybe a little anxious, but are sweet and they try hard. These dogs will flourish with patient adopters providing gentle guidance and confidence building. They are likely too timid for active homes with children, and would do best in a calm, quiet home getting the TLC they deserve.

Looking for something sweet? I’m your guy. I’m affectionate and endearing and your fun size lovebug. I love to lean in for pets and loving and would greatly benefit from some peace and quiet. I can be quite anxious at times but pretty calm overall. I do best near my people and would love to call you mine. I seek attention from those close by, especially if you have hot dogs. I’m around 1.5 years old and weigh about 42 pounds. I’m the type of guy to keep you on your toes but one thing is for sure, you can always count on me for love. Please come see me today!

Kids: 6+, go slow

Dogs: some sniffing, stiff slow/careful intros

PupTart has been spending some time in foster, here’s what the humans have to say about him:

“Hi! I’m PupTart, a 40 lb bundle of pure love! My foster mom tells me I’m quite the catch for that special loving family because I am super friendly (there are no strangers in my opinion), house trained with regular potty breaks, crate trained, ride well in the car, love to play and run around with my doggie friends and I’m good with cats! I cohabitate peacefully with my canine foster brothers and sister and respect their energy if they don’t want to play. I can double as a great exercise buddy if you like to walk, run or hike, social companion when you want to hang out with friends and family to share a cool beverage (sounds pretty good in the summertime) and hang out at home as your own personal lap dog.  I’ve been working on my leash skills and have gotten pretty good when there are not too many distractions so my forever family will want to continue my training so I can get even better. My doctor gives me some medication for anxiety and it helps me feel calm.  One of my favorite activities is enjoying some one on one time with my Kong filled with peanut butter. The only thing better than that is finding my loving family where I can shower all my attention. Is that you?!”
