Personality Color: green

Green dogs are a bit more shy and sensitive, maybe a little anxious, but are sweet and they try hard. These dogs will flourish with patient adopters providing gentle guidance and confidence building. They are likely too timid for active homes with children, and would do best in a calm, quiet home getting the TLC they deserve.

Bio data

Hello! I’m a sweet and shy girl who’s learning how to be brave on my own. I like to meet gentle people and plop down in a lap to get lots of pets. I’m told I’m a cuddle champion! Once I feel safe with someone, I like to play. I’ll need some confidence building and lots of positive experiences in order to keep growing. Will you come visit me?

Kids: 8+, needs gentle kids, sensitive dog

Dogs: Previously half of bonded pair; playful, shared toys. Slow intros with polite, friendly dogs.

Sissy has been spending some time in foster, here’s what the humans have to say about her:

She is doing really well, learning to walk on the leash very well, has almost mastered “leave it”, and impressed everyone at the Dog Days at the Library event with her calm, affectionate demeanor. At one point there were 7 little kids petting her and she just soaked it in. We have seen her personality blossom recently and so excited for her to find her forever home!
