More about Sky from her time in foster care:
Sky is so much fun! She’s about 1.5 years old, medium energy, and medium sized (50 lbs). She is curious, smart, playful, and incredibly sweet.
In the house, she is generally easygoing with occasional bursts of busy, puppy-like energy. When the energy hits, she enjoys zooming around with her stuffed squeaky toys, chewing her Nylabone, working on a frozen Kong, or shredding old cardboard boxes. After she has used her brain a bit, she’s perfectly content to settle in for a deep snooze — complete with the cutest little dream-woofs, paw twitches, and soft snores.
Sky also loves her daily walks, especially when she gets to sniff! She generally walks great on leash, though she can get overstimulated in busy environments with lots of people and dogs (she just gets a little too enthusiastic about possibly saying hello). She does great if we step aside and reward calm leash manners, and she really loves Costco rotisserie chicken as a high-value treat.
Sky is easy to train since she’s incredibly food motivated. She has already mastered “sit”, “down”, “shake”, “touch”, waiting at the door, and more! She’s crate trained and house trained, rides well in the car, and handles baths and nail trims like a pro.
Sky is wonderfully affectionate. She’s a total snuggle bug who will flop against you — or right on top of you — and immediately start snoring. She loves her people with all her heart, and she shows it every single day. Come meet her and see for yourself!
