Bop it! Pull it! Twist it!! I’ll greet you like you’re the best thing that’s happened to me all week! I’m an enthusiastic guy who’s looking for people who want to include their pup in their adventures! I already know “sit” and would love to continue with basic training like walking nicely next to my person on a leash. I’ll need plenty of enrichment, positive experiences, and a slow feeder bowl so I can enjoy my mealtimes. Ooh, do you have tennis balls and squeaky toys for me too?! Let’s play!!

Kids: 6+, trade a treat to get a toy away

Twist is such an outstanding boy! We took this sweet pup hiking at West Point on the Eno and he was wonderful on the trail. He adapted well to his person’s pace, walked politely on leash and didn’t pull, and appropriately passed people and a dog. He easily settled into a stroll and stopped to sniff, but he was also eager to hike up a hillside and was a natural at crossing rocky terrain carefully and efficiently. He loved to stop and watch the squirrels but never pulled or barked. As we moved past them, he would do a little joyful prance for a few paces, showing a glimpse of remaining puppy-like playfulness.

Twist also embraced the Eno and walked right in, cooling his belly and doing some light frolicking in the stream. After our hike, he stretched out under the shade of an oak tree and rolled on his back, living up to his name as he twisted down the hillside with a big, happy grin. He leaned into us for belly rubs and gave some kisses, content to hang out and take a rest. We ended the afternoon out with a pup cup, which he thoroughly enjoyed, but he remained a gentleman while eating. On the drive back, he wanted to be close and laid his head on the center console between us. Twist really wants to be someone’s best friend! He’s fun and loving, sociable and gentle. He’s athletic without being hard to handle. He’s a super handsome dog (check out his gorgeous eyes!) and has an even lovelier disposition!
