Waldo

Personality Color: orange

Orange dogs are likely young, energetic, and enthusiastic with lots of love to give! They will thrive with regular exercise, and some training classes would be a good idea. These dogs would be a great companion for an active person who enjoys running or hiking in the park. Fenced-in yard a plus!

Bio data

Hi! I’m a friendly, playful, affectionate guy in search of a lap to call home. I’ve been called insecure, but I really just like being with my favorite person. I LOVE to play with a ball and eat yummy treats. I need basic training, gentle people who will go slow with me, and please don’t take away my ball without giving me something even better. Want to snuggle?

Dogs: Friendly sniffing, distracted

Here is a note from when Waldo spent some time out with a foster!

  • Quiet as a Mouse! Even if other dogs are barking at him, or he feels scared about a motorcycle going by, he does not make a sound. I’m in an apartment and across from a major park so there were many, many times that he impressed me with his behavior.
  • Cuddle bug ❤. If you work from the couch, he’ll get as close to you as possible without impeding on your productivity time. He loves to snuggle at night as well.
  • House trained. Waldo did not use the bathroom inside or chew on a single thing. He is curious and liked to sniff things but never did anything naughty. He knows how to sit and may have some other secret tricks.
  • Crate trained. It took a simple tug on the collar to get Waldo in his crate. He didn’t whine, whimper, or bark whether I left him for 15 minutes or 3 hours.
  • Healthy eater. Waldo only eats when he’s hungry and does not beg when people eat. I ate on the couch, and he sniffed but made no attempt to go after my human food. He might go for something unattended, but I did not give him the chance.
