I’m here to get pets!!! I’m a friendly, sweet, playful, and affectionate girl who loves to stick close to my people! I can be anxious at times but I’m sure to settle into my forever home! I love treats, soft toys, gentle affection and a soft bed! I’ll need basic training, a cozy retreat, soft toys to play with, and skin care! Let’s go home today!

Watauga recently spent some time in foster. Here’s what her foster family had to say!

Watauga is a happy, gentle dog who loves to snuggle and be close to her humans. During our time with her, she was calm and patient around other dogs, even in busy environments like PetSmart. She showed appropriate curiosity about small animals. She was friendly with her foster dog siblings, engaging in gentle play and respecting their space – other than a few stolen snacks and scritches! Watauga quickly adapted to our home’s routine. She’s very food-motivated, making training a breeze. She already knows how to sit, and she’s working hard on her stay and her fetch game. Watauga walks well on a leash. She lets her human set the pace and waits patiently when other dogs stop to sniff. She enjoys running, playing fetch, and exploring in a fenced yard. She did well sleeping in a crate but will definitely snuggle up to you when invited. Watauga will be an amazing companion for someone looking for an affectionate, loving, adaptable dog!
