Thank you for your interest in having your group volunteer with the Animal Protection Society of Durham! Our volunteers are a vital part the work we do here and we are always excited to welcome new, smiling faces.
We can accommodate your group of 12 people or less (no exceptions) at the shelter between 1:00pm-3:00pm on Wednesdays and Fridays. Groups will be split into pairs to assist with cat and dog kennel cleaning, laundry, beautification projects, and other facility maintenance activities. We’ll start your time with a mini orientation, Q&A, facility tour, and brief playtime with one of our available animals!
