It’s been a little over a year since we adopted Reina from your facility, and I just wanted to thank you all again for working with us and share some photos and updates. Reina’s gained about 15 lbs since we adopted her, all healthy, though (the vet yesterday said her weight–almost 60 lbs now–was “exemplary”). Turns out she had some growing to do! She now knows a few more tricks, LOVES going for car rides (it was a struggle to get her in there on adoption day), and has lots of fun running around the yard (we put in an underground fence that gives her about an acre around the house). She has also been swimming in Falls Lake and hiking the trails around it (we live less than a mile from away). Recently, she’s been excellent company as I’m stuck at home nursing a broken foot. Currently, her favorite places to snooze are on an old couch in our sunroom, outside our bedroom door at night, and amazingly, camping chairs. She somehow worked that out.
I’ve attached a picture from the day I first visited her at the shelter, and a two recent ones.
Please keep up the great work.
