I adopted one of the unnamed six puppies in Kennels 2 & 14 in February 2011. It was soon clear to me that her name had to be Riley, and she is the light of my life. We have been together since she was 10-weeks-old, so our bond is very tight. While we all originally thought Riley might be a Lab/Boxer mix, as she grew up, it showed that she definitely has some Border Collie genes. Riley did very well in puppy class, although she was more excited to play with the other puppies than wait her turn to “stay.”
Riley lives to walk. She has that sense of adventure and loves seeing the world. We enjoy exploring the outdoors together, whether it is in the mountains of North Carolina or the flowers in our back yard. She will sit outside and stare into the woods and be completely happy. However, she also has an energetic streak and will run figure eights as fast as she can until she’s dizzy, and we often chase each other around the house. Riley is a great cuddle-bug, and she also likes belly rubs, treats, and sticks. She is such a good girl! I couldn’t have asked for anything more in a dog.
Thank you, APSD, for taking care of my pup before we could find each other.
Also, I know I sent a lot of photos, but I have more than 200 of her, so it was hard to narrow it down!

Note: Riley and two of her siblings were highlighted on your partner Bull City Durham blog. The two earliest photos I have attached are from there (and one was the cover of the Bull City Durham calendar).
