Come meet some friendly, book-loving adoptable dogs at The Animal Protection Society of Durham‘s “Meet & Greet” at The Regulator Bookshop.* Tracie Barton-Barrett, MS, NCC, LPC, author of the novel, “Buried Deep in Our Hearts,” will be on hand for a book signing.

“Our lives are richer when we allow our animals’ short lives to transform our own.”

Tracie Barton-Barrett-Author has always been a life-long devotee to animals, from her first job working in a veterinarian’s office, to pet-sitting, to a counselor with a specialty in pet loss. She is also a former psychology instructor and a speaker, and has created presentations and led groups on the human-animal bond, including staff of animal shelters. Her debut novel, BURIED DEEP IN OUR HEARTS, features dog, cat, and horse story lines to celebrate the important bond with our animals and to honor their memory. Tracie, and her husband, Daniel, are owned by two cats, Rutherford B. Barrett, and Oliver Monkey.

*Please note that immediate adoption of these dogs will not be possible at the store, but you will be able to meet some dogs who are available to be adopted through APS at this event.
